Big Betting

Is this a good strategy? We’ll let you decide.

There’s several of our friends who swear blind that this is the best strategy to adopt when playing the pokies. We’re not saying it’s right or wrong, but it’s worth some thought.

Ok, let’s assume for some mad reason you are not playing pokies online and you’ve decided to have a go at your local pub. Here at OnlinePokies.com.au, we’d call you nuts as the advantages to playing online are huge (click here to find out why). But, for the sake of arguments, let’s assume you didn’t have internet access and you were playing in a pub. Here’s the strategy that some of our friends recommend.

If you were giving yourself a playing amount of $50, this is firstly what you stick to. This is important – don’t bet with more than you can afford. With your $50 in hand, you go to a pokie that has just paid out. This is important as they believe that pokies do go throught payout cycles. If you’re going to have a gamble, go and play a pokie that is ‘hot’.

Once you’ve selected the pokie you want to donate your $50 to, they think that the best option is to bet the maximum $5/spin (assuming it’s a usual 1c pokie) and then you just use up your $50 on maximum presses. If you win, it’s going to be big, if you lose, it will be over quickly. That’s pretty much it. That’s their strategy for playing pokies and they think it works.

We also have adopted their pokies strategy and we can’t really comment on it. Sometimes it’s worked, sometimes it hasn’t. However, we prefer to play pokies online.
