A BRIGHTON pub has applied for 50 more pokies, lifting the number of machines in Bayside by nearly a quarter. The pub in question is the New Bay Hotel, and an application has angered neighbours and anti-gambling groups.
There are already a whopping 225 poker machines at six Bayside pubs and clubs that stripped nearly $20 million from gamblers last financial year. If the application succeeds, punters can expect to lose millions more at the new machines each year. We dont need to tell you our thoughts on this! But we will anyway!
